Rotonda Teatro, founded in 2009, is made up of three actresses: María Ruiz-Larrea, Raquel Rives and Maria del Mar Taulés.
They met in Ibiza in Bont’s International School. A beautiful friendship started that day and it is still there. Maria moved to Berlin, where Mar and Raquel were living, and the three together joined forces to share their passions: laughter and theater.
In their pieces, absurdity, tragicomedy, clown, physical theatre and live music are brought to life on stage.
The company is glad to regularly collaborate with good friends such as the pianist Álex Vaquero, the composer Marc Teitler, the puppeteer Thomas Herfort and the director Piero Partigianoni.
They are currently living between Amsterdam and Berlin and perform at theaters ans festivals around Europe.

The show is based on an everyday situation, a leak in the roof. Mixing reality and fiction, poetry and humour, the characters (three clowns and a composer) find that with every solution they try to impose several more leaks appear as the situation rapidly descends into utter chaos and mayhem. The three clowns live in a dangerous world governed by the musical whims of a tormented composof composer, where anything can happen: from torrential rain, floods, suicide attempts to gambling, skirmishes and murder…

One day my roommate turned to their land. She forgot a 20cm high-heeled pair of shoes. This neglect could have been another frets in the closet but it became a precious gift: 20cm of inspiration!
La Vie en Rose is a tribute to women who understood that we don’t need to suffer for beauty. And for those who didn’t, also.
